Candle Care Tips

Lighting

Place candles on a non-flammable surface and ensure there are no flammable materials nearby. Before lighting, trim the wick to 1/4” to avoid sooting.

Burning

Keep out of reach of children and pets while candle is burning. Never leave lit candles unattended! Try to burn your candle in increments of 2 to 4 hours, especially on the first burn. 2-to-4-oz sizes perform better with 2-hours burns, while 8oz and larger sizes do better with 4-hour burns. Allow the wax pool to reach the edge of the container before extinguishing. This will prolong the life of your candle.

Extinguishing

Gently blow on the candle to extinguish it, or place the lid (if applicable) on top of the jar. Do not blow too hard or you may splatter hot wax. Ensure candle’s container is cool to the touch before moving it.
